Hi Chefs!

Hope your preparations for Thanksgiving are all coming along nicely.  I thought I'd include a recipe this month for the most fabulous cranberry sauce, right after these few announcements:

Loads of new classes are up!  I include a "Christmas Elves" Class for those who would like to join me in making holiday treats.  We'll make yummy sweets that make scrumptious presents or delicious nibbles at your holiday party.   "I Ain't No Turkey" also scheduled:  we'll make a Thanksgiving meal with a Hipcooks twist for you to duplicate at your celebration.  I've also begun to schedule classes into the new year.  Here's the link to the site and schedule:

Recipe of the Month:  Cranberry sauce with fresh ginger and orange
This will make enough for 6 for your Thanksgiving cranberry sauce, to be served with Turkey and all the trimmings

    3/4 lb cranberries
      1 cup orange juice
      3/4 cup  brown sugar
      2 teaspoons (about 1 inch) grated fresh ginger
       2 teaspoons orange zest

In a saucepan, combine all ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer gently for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Cranberries will make a delightful popping sound and open up and mixture will thicken.
